Housing in London annual report

The annual ‘Housing in London’ report is the evidence base for the Mayor’s housing policies, summarising key patterns and trends across a wide range of topics relevant to housing in the capital. The report informs the development of the Mayor’s London Housing Strategy, the latest edition of which was published in May 2018.

The most recent Housing in London report was published in October 2020, with an updated version incorporating corrections published in March 2021. Past editions of the report and their accompanying datasets can be found on the London Datastore website.

Housing in London 2020 includes sections on London Housing Strategy monitoring and key statistics for London boroughs, as well as a new chapter examining the short-term impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on London. The report is divided into nine sections, including six core thematic chapters:
