What is the Datastore API?
Datastore webpages have been designed with a human end user in mind and as such have a user interface that allows people to interact with the software in a way that’s easy for them, such as using icons and other visual indicators that you can interact with using your mouse and keyboard.
The Datastore API is another way to interact with the Datastore. Behind the scenes all Datastore datasets are stored as JSON documents and the Datastore API allows you to query and update these programmatically. This is great is you want to automate your processes or connect the Datastore with another system.
