London Local authorities have developed their Reduction and Recycling Plans (RRPs) setting out key actions for cutting waste and boosting recycling for the period 2018-2022. The RRPs are used to drive and promote local activity that will also play an important role helping to achieve the Mayor’s London-wide targets to cut food waste by 50 per person and achieve 65 per cent municipal waste recycling by 2030.

All RRPs were developed before the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has brought fresh challenges for local authority waste services, which may impact the timescales and delivery of some actions identified in RRPs.

To view each RRP click on the borough links below. More RRPs will be added over the coming months. If your borough's RRP is not currently shown, please contact your council for more information on their RRP.

This index contains details of 50 different project areas and the boroughs that have included these in their RRPs. The index also contains links to guidance and good practice on particular subjects where this is available.
