The London Datastore is a free and open data-sharing portal where anyone can access data relating to the capital. Whether you’re a citizen, business owner, researcher or developer, the site provides over a thousand datasets to help you understand the city and develop solutions to London’s problems. Please do have a look around, and let us know what you think.
Celebrating London's Data Story
We’re celebrating the London Datastore’s 15-year anniversary with a series of blogs on what we’ve learned about open data and data sharing. The creation of the London Datastore was a pivotal moment in London’s ‘data story’. Over the years, the London Datastore evolved alongside the dynamic needs of Londoners and its data community. Over fifteen years, millions of users visited this site. So this is a moment to celebrate, reflect on what we’ve achieved and what the future holds.
Thank you
The London Datastore relies on its users to explore its datasets, derive insights and upload new datasets. So we wanted to say: THANK YOU! We couldn’t do this without you.
Our next 15 years
Our future ambitions include continuing to use data to benefit Londoners. In 2025 we will be launching the first phase of the newly built Data for London platform, the Data for London Library, to search city data in one place – saving London organisations time and resource.
