Access to bank accounts
There is little difference between London and the UK as a whole, in levels of access to banking facilities. Around 93 per cent of adults in London have at least one bank account or equivalent, with just four percent saying that either they had no access or didn’t know. While the number without access is relatively small, for those without this facility, it can represent enormous challenges in dealing with their finances, and for many will mean having difficulties in obtaining or paying more for some goods and services.
