My London was a two-year programme (2022-2024) which funded the delivery of youth social action opportunities by three-cross borough partnerships of voluntary sector organisations. The programme was established in response to the growing concern around young people’s mental health due to the impacts of COVID-19.
GLA Youth Social Action Programmes Final Report
May 2024
This report evaluates the GLA’s Youth Social Action Programmes delivered between 2022–24 as part of the Mayor’s New Deal for Young People. Focusing on HeadStart Action, Young Ambassadors, and My London, it explores how these programmes empowered under-represented young Londoners through social action, employability support, and wellbeing initiatives. The report highlights the programmes’ “triple benefit” to individuals, communities, and delivery organisations, while identifying gaps in coordination across the sector. It sets out key recommendations to strengthen youth voice, improve collaboration, support delivery networks, and expand access to opportunities.
Impact Evaluation of the GLA Head 2Work Programme

This report presents New Philanthropy Capital’s assessment of the impact of the Greater London Authority’s Head 2Work programme. The report aims to provide the Employment and Skills and Youth Social Action teams with an evidenced account of the level of success achieved by the Head 2Work programme over the 4 years of its operation, and provide wider learning for programmes that support people getting into work and education.
