London Health Data Collaborative

The London Health Profile is a product of the London Health Data Collaborative, chaired by the GLA Health Unit, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) and the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH).

Health is one of London's greatest forms of infrastructure. The health of Londoners underpins every aspect of the city's success, shaping educational achievement, workforce participation, economic productivity, social cohesion and quality of life.

The London Health Profile brings together evidence from more than 60 health, demographic, social, economic and environmental data sources to provide a strategic overview of the health of Londoners. The profile highlights key trends in population health, healthy life expectancy, inequalities, disease burden, risk factors, prevention, and the wider determinants that influence health across the capital.

Rather than providing an exhaustive account of health in London, the profile highlights key strengths, challenges and emerging themes, while signposting readers to further resources for more detailed analysis.

The profile is available in three complementary formats:

  • Summary slide deck: a concise overview of the headline findings and key messages.

  • Data slide deck: detailed charts, maps and visualisations.

  • Narrative report: interpretation, context and commentary to support the data.
