I am part of a team at UCL answering questions for the GLA - in our case 'Do Business Imprevement Districts work and why?'. One of the key measures is whether they increse footfall and we therefore wish to see if it is possible to access Tube passenger number data by individual station. Idealy this data would be aggregated by hour and day (i.e. for each day if a station is open 0600-2400 there are 19 data lines).

Information on the amount of taxis, journey statistics, petrol use and average time spent driving per day. This is for a Imperial College Electrical and Electronic Engineering second year project looking into an improved system for electric cars focussing on Taxis.

Could you supply information about commuting statistics and traffic flows?

Any data that exists on actual traffic speeds driven by road link or, failing that, at ward level.

Please can we have access to the raw data at the lowest possible level of all (some would be good) the residents survey's that have been carried out over the years across London. I would very much appreciate access to this data so I would be able to counter the wonderful and often wildly manipulated headlines I get on how much 'performance' is improving. It's surprising how inaccurate their conclusions are sometimes (although I could be wrong). Also there may be academic value in allowing 'many eyes' to explore the data to perhaps come to some less biased conclusions. Apologies if this has already been suggested or if it's out there already. I did have a quick trawl.

Can the TfL bus routes be made available as a Shapefile along with a database of route information (i.e. frequency, vehicle type, etc)?

There is a distinct lack of data on bus lanes in London. Can this be made available as a Shapefile for mapping purposes?

Create charts detailing commute/ travel times. Target audience: Home buyers. Platform: Estate Agents and sites like RightMove.co.uk could use this data to help in possible 'new home' location selections.
