NHS Healthcare Associated Infections

The numbers of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs) reported by London NHS hospitals and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs).

The data contains information on the following for two types of infection, meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and clostridium difficile (CDIF):

• Annual target number of cases set by the Department of Health
• Year to date (YTD) planned trajectory
• Number of cases in last 12 months (including this month)
• Number of cases in last 3 months (including this month)
• Number of cases in previous month
• Number of cases in this month
• Number of cases so far this year
