The data contains information on the following for two types of infection, meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and clostridium difficile (CDIF):

• Annual target number of cases set by the Department of Health
• Year to date (YTD) planned trajectory
• Number of cases in last 12 months (including this month)
• Number of cases in last 3 months (including this month)
• Number of cases in previous month
• Number of cases in this month
• Number of cases so far this year
