This dataset has now been updated to include the data released in January 2013 which covers the period October 2011-September 2012.

 

Using the January 2013 Office for National Statistics quarterly release of England and Wales Police Force Area Crime counts and rates (covering Oct11-Sep12) the following categories have been included:

· Violence against the Person
· Violence against the Person - with Injury
· Violence against the Person - without Injury
· Sexual Offences
· Robbery
· Burglary
· Burglary - in a Dwelling
· Burglary - not in a Dwelling
· Theft - vehicle related
· Theft - other
· Fraud and Forgery
· Criminal Damage
· Drugs offences
· Other offences

Also included are British Crime Survey data for surveys at Police Force area covering the folowing questions:

· Percentage that agree that police deal with local concerns
· Percentage that strongly agree/agree that police and local councilare dealing with issues

The categories covered above for each force, changes since the last release (covering Jul11-Jun12), and historic trends back to 2008 (where available) can be visualised using the below Instant Atlas tool, or downloaded in Excel format.
