The Census Information Scheme for the 2011 Census came into effect on 1st October 2011. The CIS is a consortium of 33 London Boroughs, the GLA and it's functional bodies. It provides London-specific expert analysis of census data and represents the interests of members in discussions with the Office for National Statistics.
